The Lothal Revisitation Project. A Fine Thread Connecting Ancient India to Contemporary Raveena

The full story of excavations at Lothal, including the 2008-2009 revisitation project which included satellite imagery and magnetic surveys indicating the presence of interesting structures for a future excavation project. The author, at the University of Bologna in Italy, wrote his thesis on the many clay sealings found in a burnt warehouse at Lothal. The essay also reflects on the contributions of another Italian archaeologist of India, Maurizio Tosi, in whose honor a 70th birthday volume, My Life is like the Summer Rose appeared in 2014 and in which Dennys Frenez's piece was first published.
