55. What material was used to suspend the beads/pendants etc.?

Did they use cotton, copper or something else?

Asked by Girichand

Jonathan Mark Kenoyer
The beads and pendants were strung on various types of fiber and metal wire. Some beads that have traces of fiber preserved inside were strung on cotton, others on wool, some on silk, and some on jute.

Dennys Frenez
Strings of cotton, but probably also of silk that is thinner and also much more resistant. Prof. J.M. Kenoyer is working on this subject. You will know more once his seminal work is published.
