Inscribed objects
A collection of inscribed objects found along the main street leading to the southern gateway of Mound E at Harappa. The fragmentary seal on the left is the earliest seal found to date, and depicts a bovine carved in a very archaic style.
Harappa Trench B 1923-24
"Due south of Mound F, and across the village road going west to the hamlet of Hafiz Bullah, stands Mound AB—the highest of all the mounds at Harappa (Pl. I). Roughly, it is a parallelogram in shape, measuring some 1,450 ft.
Inscribed fragment
Inscribed lead celt or ingot fragment from the Trench 54 area (H2000-4481/2174-321). The object was apparently chiseled to reduce its size. Lead may have been used as an alloy with copper, for making pigments, or as medicine.
Male figurine with a fan-shaped headdress from Harappa
Most male figurines from Harappa do not wear headdresses. An unusual exception is a standing male figurine wearing a fan-shaped headdress usually worn by female figurines as well as a choker with pendants.
