The sun sets on the Stupa Mound at Mohenjo-daro in early 2026 [Image 1]. The so-called "Divinity Lane" at Mohenjo-daro [2] separates the Stupa from the Great Bath, "College" and other areas. The name was given by early archaeologists who regarded the whole area as sacred and imagined that Indus priests would walk along it; we have no idea what Indus people called it, or whether they even gave it a name.

"Low Lane" in the DK-G area [3], and another lane in the HR Area [4] give some sense of how beautiful the light falling on different areas of Mohenjo-daro is at the end of the day.
