Faience Shell Bangle

"Faience bangle made in the shape of a shell bangle or the stylized 'womb' motif, Harappa," writes Dr. Mark Kenoyer describing this exceptional piece. "Deeply carved cogs or ribbing project along the exterior of the bangle. Traces of blue green glaze are found on the high points and edges, but not in the deeply carved portions. A matching pair was found with this bangle near the large covered building (granary) on Mound F [Harappa]."
