For Sahni’s description of trench A (e) in Mound F, and its contents, see ARASI 1924-25, pp. 75-76. There is no mention of this earthen jar.
Vats disagreed with Sahni’s finds of sepulchres in this trench. He recorded ‘two post cremation urns standing one over other in square H 10/6, and another one in square H 10/8, filled in each case with the usual contents, viz., small earthenware vessels, terracotta objects, etc.” (Vats 1940, p. 49).
