First Excavations at Harappa
1923-24: Unearthing the Mysteries of Harappa

Terracotta and Stone Objects

From left to right, a miniature version of a cylindrical perforated jar made of terracotta, a cubical chert stone weight, a small terracotta cylindrical drinking vessel, with a toy terracotta spinning top incorrectly placed on it upside down to serve as a lid, a terracotta bird whistle. The hole for blowing the whistle is faintly visible at the edge of the tail.

- Jonathan Mark Kenoyer, 2023.
