Gola Dhoro (Bagasra)
Gola Dhoro, also known as the village of Bagasra on the Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat was recently discovered by a group of Indian archaeologists. This tiny mound has yielded major surprises, including a hitherto unknown type of seal. What was it used for? Discoveries Gujarat's salt plains are shaking up Indus studies with puzzles. Why were so many sophisticated manufacturing activities concentrated in such a small village? Why were they so hastily abandoned?
New work by a team of archaeologists from the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, including Kuldeep S. Bhan, P. Ajithprasad, V.H. Sonawane, and S. Pratapchandran.
