Although it has little to do with the ancient Indus Valley, this amusing graphic novel invokes those times to acidly comment on the breathtaking modernization of India.
Many of the short chapters are perceptive and hilarious, with titles like "Single Malt, Single Woman," or "Rakhaldas Banerjee's Plot," a twisted homage to the man who discovered Mohenjo-daro.
Other vignettes are not as successful. On the whole this collection reminds us how confusing and exhilarating India's rush into the future is - even as so much of the past re-asserts itself. Easy to read and laugh along with.
