A traditional bullock cart and flat bottomed ferry boat are still used for local transport along the Indus River near the ancient site of Mohenjo-daro, Sindh, in Pakistan.
The Indus River as it flows in the Bukkur Gorge between the towns of Sukkur and Rohri some 20 kilometers (km) north of the excavation areas. In the background is the temple island of Sadhbela.
After the mist has cleared, the Indus River is clearly visible from the top of the "citadel" mound. The two small rectangular huts are used to contain conservation equipment needed to maintain the site.
