Unique two colored tablet
This uniquely shaped tablet (H2001-5090/2913-09), also made with two colors of faience, has an inscription similar to that seen on the previous slide (67). This tablet was found inside the workshop in Trench 54 South.

Inside of the Harappa phase drain
This view along Drain [8] into the mound shows details of the brick construction, the robbed out area at the east end of the drain (background), sloping strata above indicating the existence of an open street drain along the same line as the earlier
Circular platform
In 1998, the circular platform first exposed by Sir Mortimer Wheeler in 1946 was re-exposed and the area around the platform was expanded to reveal the presence of the room in which it was enclosed.
New circular platform
To the west of Wheeler's circular platform a new platform was discovered. This platform was excavated using modern stratigraphic procedures and detailed documentation.
Excavation in progress
Excavations of a large late Period 3C pit in Trench 43 resulted in the discovery of many broken figurines of humans and animals.
Inscribed steatite tablets
Inscribed steatite tablets made from two different colors of steatite have the same inscription. The sloppy nature of the inscription may be the reason why these tablets were discarded.
Harappa phase banded beads in situ
In the street levels above the drain a collection of banded sandstone and banded terracotta beads were discovered.
Seal Fragment

Collection of human and animal figurines from a large refuse dump in a pit in Trench 43.
Grindstone and pestle
A concave grindstone and angular pestle found in a room adjacent to the Trench 54 South workshop may have been used for grinding faience paste.
