Steatite bead blanks
A high concentration of tiny steatite bead blanks was found on an ashy floor near the kiln dump in Trench 54. Each (modern) bamboo piece is pointing at one bead.

Hundreds of unfinished steatite beads were found in one small area an ashy floor in Trench 54. Some of the tiny wafers are perforated.
Kot Diji phase street
Numerous pots and hearths were discovered in mud-brick buildings along the western edge of the N-S oriented Kot Diji phase street.
Interiors of the rooms filled with surprises
After removing the fallen walls, the interiors of the rooms were found to be filled with surprises. Here in Room 202 were scattered clay tops, beads, and inscribed seals (Trench 43).
Steatite sheets
Thin sheets of steatite sawn from this blocklet found in Trench 54 would have been broken into small discs and then perforated.
Finding Kot Diji phase button seal
In Kot Diji phase sediment that had washed into the street, Brad Chase discovered a button seal (close-up in 44) quite similar to seals recovered from the site of Rehman Dheri in to the Northwest in the Gomal Valley.
Glaze on Kot Diji phase button seal
On this Kot Diji phase steatite button seal from Harappa (H2000-4495 / 9597-01), traces of blue-green glaze can be seen (upper center and left center). Similar seals have been found at other Kot Diji period sites and even in distant Central Asia.
