Mohenjo-daro and the Indus Civilization

A key text for understanding the early ancient Indus excavations at Mohenjo-daro, for its photographs of many objects not otherwise photographed and on the web or in other works, for the intelligent speculation by Sir John Marshall, as well as Ernest Mackay (much of the text), Muhammad Sana Ullah, A. S. Hemmy and others.

Although hard to get one's hands on until recent reprints in India and Pakistan, the original 1931 edition of the book is available for free at Archive.org, Volume I and Volume II. Unfortunately Vol. III, the plates does not seem to be among the versions here on Archive.org. We have put up some of the images from Vol. III.

Three volumes, fold out maps, plans, diagrams scale drawings of artifacts with 164 plates.
