Unidentified animal figurine from Harappa

Although many animal figurines have identifiable traits (e. g., the applied "hide" and horn typical of a rhinoceros figurine), some figurines are not readily identifiable.

Three groups of tablets

Three groups of tablets can be defined on the basis of the type of tool used to incise them and the style of inscribing. The most complex script sign appears to have been made with different numbers of strokes for each of the three groups.

Late Harappan Vessel

One of the falling walls in Trench 43 crushed a vessel that belongs to Harappa Period 4 (ca. 1900-1800/1700 BC). In this part of the mound, there appear to be transitional levels between the Harappan and Late Harappan periods.
