Broken Harappa phase ringstones
Different sizes and colors of ringstones from upper Harappa phase levels of Mound AB, Trench 39N. The smaller rings may have been used to make decorative columns while the larger ones were probably column bases.

Eastern edge of Mound E
Clearing the ancient Harappan debris from the eroded surface outside of the mud brick city wall at the eastern edge of Mound E. In 1997 this area of Trench 11 was cleared to define the stratigraphic sequence between Period 3B and 3C.
Robbed brick wall and room
The excavations of the lower slope area of Trench 54 South revealed a robbed brick wall void filled with rubble (foreground) and a room filled with manufacturing debris from faience and steatite working.
Fish figurine from Harappa
Another aquatic creature represented in the figurine corpus of Harappa is the fish, which has applied fins, incised gills, and a vertical hole through the center of its body.

Ringstone in Harappa town
This Harappa phase ringstone was originally found many years ago while local residents were digging a well in Harappa town. After some time it ended up at a house in Harappa town where it eventually became buried in the courtyard.
City Wall
The curving line of the mud brick city wall at the eastern edge of Mound E rose high above the level of an ancient street that followed the exterior of the wall.

Highly trained excavators
