Young Historian Competition

 

Indus Valley Prize 2009 - 10!

 

The Young Historian Project is pleased to announce a prize of £100 in book tokens, sponsored by the Historical Association, for individual or Group Project Work, 2007-2008, on any aspect of the Indus Valley Civilisation for UK Primary schools.

Work can be presented in any medium! Closing date is July 2010.

A selection of Indus Valley Prizes are also sponsored by HEC, and BBC Active; a set of useable replicas of Indus seals excavated at Harappa, or a publications of choice from HEC, leading UK supplier of IVC resources; the Indus Valley wall chart / 16 A4 photo pack from PCET- first high quality colour visual resource for this Unit; the BBC Active DVD Pack, with Primary History two "Indus" Programmes, plus teachers booklet and 4 photocards;

Why not enter Animated Movies or Creative videos for all Primary Topics!

Entries can be animations, or ‘dedicated’ films scripted by children, which might feature models, puppets, and artwork, and should demonstrate what they have learnt from their enquiries!

The purpose of the prize is to encourage classroom History and celebrate the quality of what is produced in your classrooms, not to create the need for extra work! Enquiries about this prize and other Primary topics-(Local History, Local History & Citizenship, Best Primary School History Magazine) are most welcome.
