Teach Indus is produced by History Education Consultancy. Since the 1990's we have been writing and publishing resources to support teaching the Indus Valley Civilisation
in the UK Primary Schools history curriculum for the 9 - 11 age group, in association with harappa.com.
Ilona Aronovsky is a history graduate of Edinburgh University. A former advisory teacher, she is a consultant, CPD trainer (Indus activities and multicultural history), and author of teaching materials in british, world history and humanities topics. Her work on the Indus Civilisation has been published by the Commonwealth Institute (QCA recommended), Scholastic, PCET, BBC Active, and Heinemann. She was the consultant for the BBC Schools Primary History "Indus" programmes.
Patrick Hickey is an experienced programmer, and has an MA in open and distance learning. He is a consultant, FE lecturer, staff trainer in ICT and web site developer.
The design of our teaching materials in software or print is intended to support enquiry
based collaborative learning, fun, and stimulate critical thinking through developing history skills, to which the Indus Valley as a topic particularly lends itself !.
